At MVC, the Firefighter Academy prepares you to step into a career upon graduation.
Associate of Science (MAS669), Certificate (MCE 669)
The Firefighter Academy program provides students with the educational requirements to be a Firefighter I by meeting the California State Fire Training and National Fire Protection Association standards. This program is part of the California State Fire Marshal's Office Accredited Regional Training Program.
Students will participate in practical, hands on training exercises, physical conditioning, and theoretical learning.
Enrollment in this program is limited to students that meet eligibility requirements and complete the program application.

- You'll be able to perform skills that meet National Fire Protection Association Standard 1001 for firefighter and California State Fire Marshal Standards for Firefighter 1.
