About Galaxy

Riverside Community College District uses Galaxy to assist with budget management, bookkeeping and purchasing. Each employee who needs to use Galaxy to make purchase requisitions and/or to check their department budgets will need access to Galaxy software.

Get Help

Supervisors must submit a request to the District Accounting Services office for each employee that needs Galaxy access through ServiceDesk.

Choose IT/Media Services > Internal Applications > Galaxy > Request New Galaxy Account.

Requests are subject to manager approval.

Galaxy is a web-based software program that does not require installation on your computer, or internal network access. It can be used in most web browsers, though Chrome and Firefox are recommended.

  1. Galaxy is accessible through the RCCD Single Sign-On system by selecting the RCOE Apps button in your menu of services.
  2. Choosing this option will take you to the wider Riverside County Office of Education login portal.
  3. Use your RCCD credentials to log in to the Riverside County SSO screen, and then choose Galaxy from the list of options.

The Riverside County Office of Education manages and maintains the Galaxy User Guide, available in PDF format. This guide goes over how the system works, how to use modules, and more.
