Information Technology Analyst, Technology Support Services

For more than 20 years, James has quietly and consistently gone above and beyond in support of students, faculty, staff, and fellow colleagues. His extensive technical expertise, professionalism, and willingness to help others have made a lasting impact across the college community.

Much of James’s impact occurs behind the scenes, where he works collaboratively with colleagues across departments to develop effective solutions that support teaching, learning, and campus operations. Through his technical expertise, dedication, and willingness to go the extra mile, he helps create reliable and sustainable systems that benefit our whole college community. His contributions may not always be visible, but they play a vital role in maintaining an environment where others can succeed and focus on their work without interruption.

Equally impressive is James’s commitment to supporting others. He generously shares his knowledge with coworkers, colleagues, and consistently looks for ways to improve processes and outcomes. Whether managing complex technical projects, supporting instructional programs at Ben Clark Training Center, or assisting team members with challenging issues, James approaches every task with humility, accountability, and a genuine desire to help others succeed.

James’s efforts directly support Moreno Valley College’s mission by enhancing the technology and services that enable student success, fostering collaboration across departments, and ensuring that staff and students have the tools they need to thrive. His dedication, innovation, and selfless service exemplify the very best of our college community.

Maintenance Mechanic, Facilities

Throughout his tenure as a Maintenance Mechanic in the Facilities Department, Julio contributes to the functioning of campus infrastructure, including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and other essential building systems critical to the college's daily operations. His commitment to continuously expanding his knowledge has made him a trusted resource to the Facilities Department and the entire campus community.

Julio approaches every aspect of his work with professionalism and a genuine commitment to service. He treats everyone with the same level of respect and responsiveness, is receptive to new ideas and feedback, and consistently looks for ways to provide high-quality customer service. His solution-oriented approach and willingness to assist others have earned him the trust and respect of faculty, staff, administrators, contractors, and his fellow Facilities professionals.

His contributions also extend to Moreno Valley College's commitment to sustainability. Julio plays an integral role in maintaining the college's fleet of nearly 15 electric vehicles and supports the maintenance of electric-powered equipment used by Facilities staff. Through this work, he helps advance the college's environmental stewardship goals while ensuring that sustainable operations remain reliable and effective.

Much of Julio's work happens behind the scenes, but its impact is felt across the entire college. Students, faculty, classified professionals, and visitors depend on safe, functional, and comfortable learning and working environments. Whether restoring power to a classroom, repairing plumbing, maintaining climate-control systems, addressing an emergency repair, or completing preventive maintenance, Julio understands that every work order, maintenance task, and repair contributes to something much larger: creating a safe, welcoming, and student-centered environment where learning and success can take place.
