Moreno Valley College is pleased to announce that we are taking steps towards developing a brand new art gallery for our beautiful campus. Starting this fall 2019, we will host our first Pop-Up Art Exhibition in Student Academic Services 121.
We invite students to enter their work in consideration for this exhibition, which will focus on the theme of "Art and Politics." You are welcome to consider any topic that might relate to this broad theme, ranging from poverty and shelter, to power and glory, religion, technology, the environment, social justice, or race, gender, class and disability.
Your work will be selected by a jury of students from an Art 6 Art Appreciation Honors class. If your work is selected, an Honors student will be in contact with you to discuss your work and will write about your work and your biography for an exhibition label which will hang beside your art in the exhibit.
The exhibition will open on Tuesday, November 5 during college hour from 12:50 - 1:50 pm during a catered celebration event, and will remain on display until Thursday, November 14. If your work is selected, you are invited to join the opening celebration to discuss your work with the public.
The Call For Entries period has ended. Selection of work is currently underway.
