MVC/SVPA 2021 Faculty Exhibition Opens

The Spring 2021 Faculty Exhibition at Moreno Valley College highlights the creative work in art, music, and design by faculty in the School of Visual and Performing Arts (SVPA). The online exhibition marks the first for the SVPA, which was established last year as part of the Guided Pathways initiative. The exhibition coincides with the 30th anniversary of the MVC campus.

For the exhibition, artists were asked to submit work that reflects on the past year, one indelibly marked by pandemic and protest, by challenges and changes, by new processes and old comforts. All responded with humor, insight, and imagination. The variety of media, styles, and themes represented in the exhibition demonstrates the strength and diversity of the College faculty and art community.

The online exhibition will continue to evolve as artists interviews, studio visits, and spotlight videos are added in the months to come. To view the exhibition visit, mvcsvpa.cargo.site.

This online exhibition was organized by Lauren (Ally) Johnson, Gallery director and assistant professor of Art History. Website design and development was handled by Matthew Luther. For more information, email Lauren Johnson.
