SAmple Accuplar Test Questions

Generally speaking, a placement test is designed to be a measurement of your academic skills, so it is not something that you would 'study' for in the traditional sense. Cramming or studying before taking an assessment test will yield inaccurate results, and will most likely place you in a class for which they do not have the skills to succeed.

However, taking time to refresh yourself in the general concepts can be helpful, especially if it has been a year or more since your last English or Math class. Furthermore, it's also wise to gain a familiarity with the format of a particular test when available. This helps avoid the feeling you've just jumped into completely unknown waters - a factor which could impede your performance and discourage students who have never before taken a computerized test.

We do offer sample questions in a web-based format as well as a format optimized for printing. We also offer practice tests (for which Javascript is required.) Keep in mind that these are not intended to teach you anything you wouldn't already know about subjects in English and Math. These are provided to familiarize you with the format of the test questions and give you a general idea of what will be expected from you in each subject area.

For more information on each test section, be sure to read "What is Accuplacer Online?"
