Room Number Changes
MVC will be undergoing a major signage replacement and upgrade project. The purpose of this program is to assist first responders by creating a consistent room numbering system as well as upgrade our braille signs so they are code compliant and most importantly provide better assistance to visually impaired students, faculty and staff.
This project will be performed in two distinct phases.
- Phase I will begin on March 6, 2018 with the removal of all signs that will be replaced; these signs currently have a small red, round sticker placed on them. A temporary paper sign indicating the current and revised room numbers will be installed. These signs will remain in place until at least the end of the current semester. Patching and painting will begin immediately afterward.
- Phase II will consist of installing the new signs. Signs are currently in fabrication with an anticipated start in April. This project will be completed by no later than June 4, 2018.
We apologize for the inconveniences that may occur. We understand there may be issues with documents such as the catalog that do not reflect the new room numbers now, but MVC will work to ensure that all documents are updated to reflect the new room numbers.
