About

Hey everyone! I'm so glad to connect with you. I am a full-time professor of Communication Studies here at Moreno Valley College. I speak both Spanish and English fluently. I am a proud son of Mexican immigrant parents and a first-generation college graduate.

My journey in academia started at San Francisco State University, where I earned both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Communication Studies. Since 2018, I've been passionate about teaching a range of communication courses, like public speaking, interpersonal communication, small group communication, and intercultural communication.

As a professor, my ultimate goal is to help you feel confident and empowered in your communication skills, whether it's for your personal life, professional endeavors, or academic pursuits. Creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment is at the core of what I do. I'm here to be an ally for students from all backgrounds, including those in the LGBTQ+ community.

In my classes, I make sure to keep things accessible by offering low or zero-cost courses and providing course materials whenever possible. When it comes to teaching, I prioritize empathy and understanding, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to succeed.

Outside of the classroom, you'll often find me exploring new places, enjoying the great outdoors, indulging in some reality TV (I'm a sucker for those competitive shows!), and spending quality time with my adorable French Bulldogs.

I can't wait to embark on this educational journey with you and support you along the way!
