Law Enforcement Pre-Academy

The Law Enforcement Pre Academy is a Learning Community and you must be enrolled in both courses in order to complete the course:

The Law Enforcement Pre-Academy is preparation course designed for the Basic, Modular and Correctional Deputy Academies. It focuses on Law Enforcement topics such as Report Writing, Cultural Diversity, Leadership, Professionalism and Ethics, Criminal Justice System, and an overview of the background investigation process. Guidance-48A assists students in obtaining study skills necessary to reach educational and career goals; topics include time management, test taking and study techniques. Supplemental instruction to include online SkillsTutor Language Arts and Information Skills lessons and testing.

The college fees for the class are $171.00 (if you have the BOG-Waiver [financial aid], you pay $18.00 for the Student Health Fee and $15.00 for the Student Services Fee) payable via WebAdvisor (plus the cost of books).
