Her research areas include Critical and Cultural Theory with an emphasis on Marxism and Post-Colonial Studies, 20th Century American Literature, and Sex and Gender Studies. She enjoys playing guitar, all kinds of writing (including songwriting), and road trips, especially to the ocean or river.  Educational Background B.A., M.A., Western Washington University.
