The overarching goal of enrollment management is to develop and support a sustainable integrated system that maximizes student access and success, creates fiscal stability, and allows the college to anticipate scheduling needs. Moreno Valley College is committed to educating and empowering our students, providing equitable access to education, and serving our communities. Moreno Valley College’s core mission can be expressed in four words: Education, Empowerment, Equity, Service.
Addressing Enrollment Needs
To serve the needs of our students, the Strategic Enrollment Management Task Force takes a strategic, data-driven approach in class planning, enrollment marketing, funding allocation and program development. Workgroups focus on enrollment growth, onboarding, student-centered funding formula and the District Budget Allocation Model. Additional work groups include student retention, student equity as well as scheduling, services and program development.

In this dashboard you will find enrollment trend data that spans multiple time periods during the semester: three weeks prior to the start of the semester, two weeks prior, one week prior, the start of the semester, at census, and at the end of the term. We included end of term data to capture short term course enrollments that occur after census.

Disproportionate Impact: Proportionality index is used to identify whether students enrolled are representative of the community served by MVC.
Enrollment: Duplicated count of total enrollments by students at MVC (students are duplicated in this metric)
Headcount: Unduplicated count of students enrolled at MVC
Low textbook cost (LTC): LTC sections are those whose required textbooks can be purchased at the MVC Bookstore for $50 or less, in either physical or electronic format.
Per Capita: The average number of enrollments per student. The total number of enrollments divided by the total number of unduplicated students.
Retention Rate: The number of grades with an A, B, C, D, F, No Pass, or Pass divided by the total number of grades
Service Area: The cities of Moreno Valley and Perris
