Student Employment at MVC

The Student Employment Program helps students earn money to pay for their educational expenses by working part time (up to 20 hours per week) while learning transferable job skills. Benefits to the student include:

  • Flexible work schedule that works around classes
  • Build up resume experience and enhance marketability
  • Earn money while gaining work experience

Students can apply to work at a variety of jobs on campus pending their eligibility for the Student Employment Program. Students may be eligible for one or all of the programs. To review programs, eligibility requirements, and learn how to apply, go to the Student Page.

 

 

NOTE: Students who DO not have access to a computer or online resources, may access computers in the MVC Library or in the lobby of Student Employment and Admissions and Records.

Student Employment

The Mission of the Moreno Valley College (MVC) Student Employment Office (SEO) is to provide financial assistance to students through on and off-campus paid part-time employment opportunities while meeting departmental student employment needs. The program fosters learning opportunities for transferable job skills and professional development of student employees while working collaboratively with staff, employers, and the local community to develop partnerships and foster community spirit.

The SEO is committed to assisting students develop as employees. In doing so, students reap the benefits of professionalism and marketability as they prepare for their careers upon graduation. The SEO serves three core constituencies in the following order: 1) Students 2) Departments 3) Non Profit Organizations.

 

Philosophy

The Moreno Valley Student Employment Program is dedicated in providing students with meaningful work experience aimed at enhancing college and career goals, while providing supplemental financial support. We strive in building collegial working relationships with student employees, staff, faculty, and the community.
