    Subject: Construction Projects Status updates

    • Parking Structure:  several meetings have occurred to identify lighting and interior designs.  Met with user group, police, students, IMC, and Instruction.
      • LPA has been asked to re-submit interiors selections for wallpaper/flooring.  Color board is being prepared to demonstrate interior selections which will be reviewed with constituents.
      • Reagan has submitted DSPS requirements per Paula McCroskey and Daria Burnett to architect and they will be working on floor plan.
    • Science Technology Phase I (emergency work):  contract is complete effective March 25, 2010 and faculty/staff have been notified they may move supplies back into the storage rooms.  One shelving unit was broken in the move and another one is on order.
    • Science Technology Phase II:  FPDC is reviewing and signing off on a proposal from Steinberg Architects to work through all secondary effects of all affected parties.  A budget needs to be finalized so Chancellor may review and give decision.
    • Phase III Building:   State has approved this project and planning money has been released.  Awaiting an approved state construction bond to release all money.  Working with WWCOT to re-fresh and update the building to meet current needs.  User group will be re-established so all parties will have input.  Exterior needs to be re-thought since proposed materials didn't work successfully at a Norco project.  This could result in project savings.
    • Center for Health and Wellness (Gymnasium): IPP (Initial Project Proposal) not yet approved by state.  Orin recommended we move forward with FPP (Final Project Proposal).  Initial meeting has been held with user group to identify wishes and needs for the building.  A schedule has been set to complete the FPP by the end of the school year.  Then, it goes to the state for approval and awaits passage of a future state construction bond.
    • Amphitheater:   Initial meeting with city/district/parks and recreation folks held in 2/10 to begin looking at existing MOU.  Second meeting to review site and desired specifications set for May, 2010.
    • Allied Health Building:  Steinberg Architects will be BOT approved to do a revised FPP adding back the 3rd floor option.  User group meeting to reconvene is scheduled for April.
    • MDEC:  no significant activity since Fall, 2009.  Project on hold per Chancellor.
    • NOC:  project on hold per Chancellor pending results of IT audit.
    • Administration Annex Move to Humanities: no significant activity since 9/09.  Project started up again this month with a few meetings on interiors and furniture selection. No project budget approved per FDPC master bond project list (other than initial $50K).  Reagan has submitted furniture selections to vendor, who has provided budget to FPDC.
    • Lion's Lot (swing parking):  agreement with LPA for design services going to 2/10 BOT meeting.
      • Once approved, need to set up meeting with EMWD folks/Ruth Adams/Chris Carlson to talk legalities of widening road.
    • BCTC Center Status:  several meetings held to work out details of LOI.  Project progressing well, center status being discussed at BOT meeting 2/10 and approved 3/10.  Continuous workings with consultant are progressing well and approval should occur within the yea
